The Work Doctor Respectful Conduct Clinic Intervention

Coaching
  • Confrontation – made to face the undeniable behavioral record

  • Coaching – skill gaps identified, training

  • Re-Alignment – organizational needs prioritized over the personal

The proprietary Respectful Conduct Clinic (RCC) is designed to address high-profile, destructive aggressors in organizations.

Forget expensive attempts to change the offender’s personality. They don’t work. RCC is based on wisdom gleaned from experience — 35+ years organizational consulting, 21 years university professor, and 27 years as the originator of the workplace bullying consulting field.

The RCC service includes:

  • Meeting with the offender’s executive to set behavioral expectations
  • Review of complaints, completed investigations, prior actions taken
  • Interviews with some affected individuals
  • Record compiled of destructive behaviors by the offender
  • 1.5 days live, interactive session with the offender and Dr. Namie
  • Personal development contract to constrain future conduct
  • 6 months of periodic, unannounced evaluations of compliance

RCC is a personalized, custom Intervention — part empathy, part confrontation, part prioritization of the organization’s needs over those of the offender. During the 1.5 days of live, remote sessions with the offender Dr. Gary Namie engages in: Assessment, Confrontation of Denial, Training, Coaching, and Re-Alignment with Organization Values.

Disclaimer: The RCC is a personalized business process, not psychotherapy or a clinical service. Dr. Namie is a social, not licensed clinical, psychologist. The RCC is not a substitute for treatment by a mental health professional.
